Press Release: The Emirates Environmental Group (EEG)<\/a> announced the launch of the 23rd<\/sup> edition of its highly impactful annual campaign the “Clean UAE”<\/a>. It is set to kick off on December 5th<\/sup> under the patronage of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign presents a unique opportunity for sponsors, public & private sector organisations, academia and individuals to contribute meaningfully to environmental protection while showcasing their commitment to sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs. Habiba Al Mar\u2019ashi, Founder and Chairperson of EEG, explained that this national annual campaign will span the 7 emirates, beginning in Ajman on Thursday 5th<\/sup> December, followed by Dubai on Saturday 7th<\/sup> December, Abu Dhabi on Monday 9th<\/sup> December, Sharjah on Tuesday 10th<\/sup> December, Fujairah on Wednesday 11th<\/sup> December, Ras Al Khaimah on Thursday 12th<\/sup> December, and concluding in Umm Al Quwain on Saturday 14th<\/sup> December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Habiba Al Mar\u2019ashi called on all segments of society to actively participate in the campaign and express their commitment to protect and preserve the environment of our beloved country, stressing that through cooperation with local and federal government entities, academic institutions, as well as private sector companies and civil society organisations, the \u201cClean UAE\u201d campaign enhances the culture of preserving natural habitats, promoting recycling initiatives, and encouraging the use of recyclable materials in local industries to preserve natural resources and reduce the burden on them, as well as reducing the percentage of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Call for Sponsors and Volunteers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

EEG invites sponsors from all sectors to support this initiative. The “Clean UAE” campaign\u2019s primary objectives include increasing public awareness on the environmental and health risks of pollution, fostering a spirit of volunteerism and inspiring communities to support national sustainability initiatives. By regularly participating in cleanups and enhancing the natural beauty of tourist and public spaces, individuals and organisations alike can play a key role in safeguarding the UAE\u2019s environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also added that this national campaign aims to encourage all members of society to engage in positive initiatives to serve the community and promote the spirit of volunteerism on a wider scale. Launching this type of programme highlights the importance of preserving the values \u200b\u200bof environmental culture and directing the behaviour of individuals and society to support activities that contribute to sustainability on the national level and adopt positive practices, through continuous participation in cleaning touristic and public places to be able to highlight the beauty of the natural and urban environment in the UAE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
