Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)<\/a> has joined forces with Nakheel, part of Dubai Holding\u2019s real estate arm, to construct two state-of-the-art power substations<\/a> worth AED 270 million ($73.5 million) on Palm Jebel Ali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The substations, scheduled for completion alongside the new luxury villas, will provide reliable power across the landmark development, underscoring Dubai\u2019s commitment to sustainable<\/a> and advanced infrastructure<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The substations will supply power to multiple fronds and the spine of Palm Jebel Ali, a development that stretches over seven islands and includes 16 fronds with more than 90 kilometers of beachfront.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project will support Dubai\u2019s expanding need for reliable, high-capacity infrastructure as part of the larger Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When completed, Palm Jebel Ali is set to become a model for luxury waterfront living, encompassing residential, retail, hospitality, and leisure spaces within a framework of smart city technologies and sustainable practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The substations, each rated at 132\/11 kV with a combined capacity of 400 megavolt-amperes (MVA), will be critical in meeting the power demands of Palm Jebel Ali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DEWA\u2019s role in managing the project will include the tendering, awarding, and construction processes to ensure the facilities are delivered on time and aligned with the luxury villa development schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to power infrastructure, earlier contracts awarded for the island\u2019s infrastructure include villa construction, public access roads, and marine works, paving the way for Palm Jebel Ali to become a landmark in Dubai\u2019s future landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revealed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Palm Jebel Ali aims to attract new residents, investors, and tourists alike, supporting Dubai\u2019s long-term economic vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
