The deal is a major step toward boosting reliable power supply as the UAE prepares for increasing electricity demand driven by AI and digitalization initiatives.
For this project, Sineng will provide its advanced 8.8MW MV turnkey stations, each comprising 2 units of 4.4MW central inverter, a transformer, and an RMU.
The project will link the PP14 power plant in Riyadh to the coastal region of Kudmi in southwestern Saudi Arabia.
The project will cover an area of 420,000 square meters and is designed to reduce the carbon footprint of the energy-intensive cement industry while supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 renewable energy objectives.
The new developments align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 energy goals, which aim to generate 50% of the Kingdom’s electricity from efficient gas technology and the remainder from renewable energy sources.
The solar photovoltaic plant, with a capacity of 2,000 MWac, will be located in the Sadawi Region and is part of the final phase of the Saudi government’s National Renewable Energy Program (NREP).
The agreements, signed with the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC), cover the development of the Rumah-1 and Al-Nairyah-1 power plants.
