The project, which aims to produce 300 tonnes of green ammonia per day, is part of ACME’s strategy to position Oman as a global hub for green hydrogen and ammonia production.

The awarded projects, located across Mpumalanga, Limpopo, and the North West Province, will bolster South Africa’s renewable energy capacity.

The 1.1-gigawatt (GW) wind farm, located in the Gulf of Suez, is set to deliver over 4,300 GWh of clean energy annually

The Gainfar and Boitekong projects, both located in the Free State province, will deliver over 300MWh of battery energy storage capacity each.

The solar PV plants will be located in Al Faya, Al Khazna, and Al Zarraf, while the wind farm will be sited in Sila.

The strategic investments are set to strengthen the company’s renewable energy portfolio while advancing its ambitious target of achieving 100GW of global capacity by 2030.
