The 7th phase will contribute significantly to Dubai’s clean energy transition, with an estimated annual production of 4.5 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity.
The project, to be developed under Dubai’s Independent Power Project (IPP) model, will be built in phases starting in August 2027
The collaboration aligns with Masdar’s strategy to achieve a renewable energy portfolio of 100 GW by 2030 while advancing its ambitions in green hydrogen production.
Once operational in Q3 2026, Al Ajban is expected to generate enough electricity to power 160,000 homes and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 2.4 million tons annually.
The agreements include a 5 GW floating solar power project on Lake Nasser and a 2.8 GW solar project in Nagaa Hammadi
For this project, Sineng will provide its advanced 8.8MW MV turnkey stations, each comprising 2 units of 4.4MW central inverter, a transformer, and an RMU.
The project will cover an area of 420,000 square meters and is designed to reduce the carbon footprint of the energy-intensive cement industry while supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 renewable energy objectives.
The solar photovoltaic plant, with a capacity of 2,000 MWac, will be located in the Sadawi Region and is part of the final phase of the Saudi government’s National Renewable Energy Program (NREP).
