The initiative seeks to enhance electricity supply stability, reduce costs, and encourage investment in renewable energy, positioning Arab countries as key global exporters of clean energy.
The deal, valued at €3.2 billion ($3.3billion), is the largest energy transaction in the history of the Athens Stock Exchange and one of the largest in the European renewables sector.
The collaboration aligns with Masdar’s strategy to achieve a renewable energy portfolio of 100 GW by 2030 while advancing its ambitions in green hydrogen production.
